It is the time of year everyone wants a striped bass, but it is also the time of year when stripers thin out.  That being said, there are still a bunch of bass around, they just mellow during the day.  Those that want bass should fish the beach, particularly the eastern shoreline during the early night period…  The eastern rips also remain cold, so do not hesitate to work East if you have a boat, just make sure you understand the laws and expectations.
