We know that bait drives fish… Everyone always asks us how do we know where fish are? The answer is simple…find the bait.  And that is true.  Want to catch a Striped bass or a Bluefish or Tuna… Identify bait.  It is truly that simple.

This article comes out and says, don’t just find the baitfish, but create the baitfish.  There is a trench from hither creek to long pond, that if cleaned out and widened, we could introduce alewifes and maybe, maybe increase the presence of Bass in the early season.  Unfortunately, over the last five years we have seen a severe decrease in our Spring Fishery.  Less Bait, Less bass, could following the model in Maine and creating “home opportunities” attract bait and ultimately Striped Bass.
